Avengers: Infinity War - Full Price or Matinee

Avengers: Infinity War

Tony Stark: You can't park here, buddy. Earth is closed today. Take your tractor beam and skedaddle.

This movie surprised me for a lot of reasons and in a lot of ways but not how you might think. I was very skeptical about the movie for months now because I feared it would not live up to its Ten year hype and build up. Yet now when we finally got to this moment I feel like it was very pretty well thought out.

Let's be sure to tell it like it is. It was not perfect. no movie really is perfect despite what fans of Empire Strikes Back would have you think, but that is not the point of this review. I liked a lot more than I thought I would and you should see the good in the movie as well. Thanos, was truly a great antagonist, Story line convergence was well played, and Character interactions were genuine. Here's why...

Thanos, was on screen more than most of the heroes, at least it felt like that, I think in some ways he could actually have been the protagonist in the film with that amount of screen time. This was a superb way of setting up that character. I enjoyed seeing the movie through his perspective and mindset as to how the universe should be. This was a great idea to make the audience both love and hate him as a character. Despite him wanting to destroy half of the universe we can't help but feel for the guy when we learn about his own past and why his nick name is the Mad Titan. It also hits home when we find out what he has to do in order to attain the soul stone, its very reminiscent of Agamemnon and his conquest for Troy.

The Story lines converging has been put together pretty well and all of it makes sense in one way or another. So that worked out well in my mind. I also liked how before most of the characters got aquanted with each other there was a bit of chest pumping with this guy and that guy. As you can see I'm doing my best to leave out names so in case you wanted my opinion you won't have spoilers. But lets just say a lot of super heroes have big egos and they tend to compare them with each other! Anyway I was happy to see the characters they chose to keep together worked out well. There was a great dynamic between all of them every step of the way.

Which leads me to that point, the characters they did put together complimented each other extremely well and when something happened you did not want to pull your eyes away. Although I will say I have my favorites and I always perked up when they were on the screen as opposed to others. Yet I generally enjoyed everyone that was on screen for one reason or another and I feel like you will to when you go watch it.

This is definitely a movie to be seen at the Cinema and should be enjoyed on the big screen. However It's up to you how you should see it, Full Price or Matinee. If you're like me and you have a Movie Pass it's a no brainer go as soon as you can. If you're also like me, go see it in a premium screen like Dolby or Imax. Those are usually better seats anyway!
