The Mission

I will not pretend to insinuate that my critique is the end all solution. It is not. I merely wish to express my thoughts on cinema and allow people to read them in a way that I hope will enhance their own cinematic experiences, by focusing on the positive aspects of what we see.

Far to often we the people will see a movie and feel that we aren't enjoying the experience as much as we can. Either we can't quite put a finger on why a film leaves a bad taste in our mouth or the film  has so many glaring issues that it nearly blinds us beyond rhyme or reason.

My goal with this blog is to analyze the films we watch as a whole and really analyze the entire process of the film as opposed to the end product alone. When we see a film we are seeing the results of not a handful of people's work but an entire army of creative minds. All of them deserve credit and all of them worked tirelessly into the night to make the best product possible for the world to enjoy. Yet to often the world spits in their faces about it was not good enough. Well I seek to change that rhetoric and create a tone that finds the good in everything.

It is not going to be easy. I will see films that I do not like but as I do this, I want to try to focus my energy on the positive more than the negative. There is to much of that in the world and I will not contribute to that anymore.

Regardless of my own analysis of a film, I will encourage everyone to make up their own analysis. My thoughts are by no means the end all solution of film analysis as what I might get out of a film might be completely different than your own and might hold one element higher than another and that is the point.

PS. Above all things, I am not an eloquent man, nor do I have the vocabulary of a retired English professor. I am a simple man. One who enjoys the little things and wants to see more optimism in the world.
